Our work, in context
The story behind the photographs
We installed wood ceiling baffles for a downtown Vancouver Thai restaurant. The photographs show the feature taking shape from several angles, including the relationship between the wood elements and the visible overhead services.
What the photographs show
The separated wood elements leave the space above visible. Their spacing and direction become part of the room’s appearance, which makes this a useful reference for clients considering a feature ceiling with an open overhead character.
Use the ceiling to define the room
A baffle feature can mark a dining zone or draw attention along a room. Decide where you want that visual emphasis before choosing the number and direction of the elements.
Bring samples or a clear finish reference when requesting pricing. Natural colour, grain, edge details and spacing all affect the result; the term “wood baffles” alone leaves too much open to interpretation.
Coordinate the feature with lights and services
These construction photos show the baffles in relation to the surrounding overhead work. Light positions, ducts, sprinklers and maintenance access need to be considered alongside the feature layout.
Ask who supplies the baffles, who provides the support details and what is included in installation. Any acoustic performance should come from the selected system’s documentation, not an assumption based on its appearance.
Create a useful restaurant-ceiling enquiry
Share your location, approximate ceiling area, reflected ceiling plan, finish preference and intended work hours. If the restaurant is operating, mention access and protection requirements.
Rambo’s photos record its installation contribution. The restaurant name, street address and general contractor were not supplied with this set, so the feature is presented without those additional project claims.
Our team is based in Richmond and serves Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. For a comparable project, contact Rambo directly so we can review the actual drawings, installation scope and site conditions. The photographs are supplied by Mason McKenzie / Rambo Wall & Ceiling Limited.
